Trinity Bight area and, indeed, the entire Boanvista Peninsula is an area enriched with so many different interests for all to discover…wildlife in the skies, on the land and in the sea, multiple varities of flowers and berries, theatre, restaurants, and museums!!

LOOK AT THOSE WHALES

Local Whale Watching Tours are offered at docks 100m from our Home, and also an option to set off from the other coast of the Bonavista Peninsula if it is too windy to go out from our side!
Great viewing of a large number of species of whales, both along the coast, and occasionally even in Trinity Harbour…as seen from the deck of Commander’s Keep!

EAGLES SOAR OFF THE COASTAL CLIFFS, PUFFINS FROM THEIR ISLAND COLONY AT ELLISTON

Puffins parade on the ocean waves and in the air…
Gray Jays jabber and screech as they beg for picnic treats atop Gun Hill, overlooking Trinity. You will also see hundreds, if not thousands of Puffins at the colony in Elliston, almost at the northern tip of Bonavista Peninsula.

SKERWINK, HORSE CHOPS, FOX ISLAND

There  are many hiking trails to explore… bring  a picnic and make a day of it! Don’t forget to bring your camera! GUN HILL can be accessed from in Trinity where the trailhead is located just beside the RBC bank.
SKERWINK trailhead is in Trinity East, just across the harbour from Commander’s Keep.
FOX ISLAND trailhead  is  in  Champney’s .
Trailhead for HORSECHOPS is from English Harbour.
